The brahmaviharas, or "sublime attitudes," are the Buddha's primary heart teachings. The term brahmavihara literally means "dwelling place of the brahmas,” beings who live with unlimited goodwill, unlimited compassion, unlimited appreciation, and unlimited equanimity. These unlimited attitudes can be developed from the more limited versions of these emotions that we experience in the human heart on a daily basis. In this course, we will be learning how to develop these sublime attitudes, open our hearts, and transform ordinary emotions into qualities that can lead us to happiness.

This course is open to students of all levels, though some background in meditation is desirable.
